Is it right for you?
Yes, if you run dual HDMI monitors and want full 140W laptop charging, 2.5Gb Ethernet, and high-speed storage without hunting for display adapters.
Probably not, if you only need a portable bus-powered travel hub or your workstation relies exclusively on native DisplayPort connectors.
Using it
Connection. Connect the included 180W power supply to the DC IN port and wall outlet, then attach the 1.0-metre Thunderbolt 5 cable between the dock and your laptop host port.
Display setup. Connect your monitors directly to HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 using standard HDMI cables. For a third display on a Thunderbolt 5 host, connect a screen to the downstream Thunderbolt 5 port.
Apple SuperDrive support. Install the free OWC Dock Ejector app to enable Apple USB SuperDrive support, full iPad charging, and single-click safe drive unmounting on macOS.
Warranty
OWC gives a 2-year limited warranty from the date of purchase against defects in materials and workmanship. Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage (including scratches and cracks), accidental damage and misuse are not covered.
